Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using Veltrix IDE. By accessing or using this platform, you agree to be bound by the terms below.

Effective Date: 1 January 2026 Last Updated: 1 June 2026 Jurisdiction: England & Wales

Important: These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User”, “you”, “your”) and Veltrix IDE (“we”, “us”, “our”). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use this platform. Continued use after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Introduction

Welcome to Veltrix IDE (“the Platform”), a free, browser-based integrated development environment operated by Mohammad Khan (“the Operator”). Veltrix IDE provides users with a professional code editor, live HTML/CSS/JavaScript preview, a file explorer, and a curated library of web development tutorials — all accessible directly in any modern web browser, with no installation required.

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Veltrix IDE website located at https://veltrix-ide.vercel.app and any sub-pages, features, or services offered therein. By accessing the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

Veltrix IDE is intended for individuals aged 13 years or older. If you are under the age of 13, or under the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, you may not use this Platform.

Acceptance of Terms

By registering for an account, browsing the Platform, using the Lab IDE, watching tutorials, or otherwise accessing any part of Veltrix IDE, you unconditionally agree to these Terms. Your agreement is effective as of the date you first access or use the Platform.

These Terms apply to:

  • All visitors who access the Platform without registering an account.
  • All registered users who create and manage an account on the Platform.
  • Any individual who reads, watches, or otherwise consumes content on the Platform.
  • Any person using the Lab IDE to write or execute code.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be published on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.

Description of Service

Veltrix IDE offers the following core services free of charge:

  • Lab IDE: A browser-based code editor supporting HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with live preview rendered in an isolated sandbox iframe.
  • File Explorer: A virtual project file system stored in your browser's localStorage, supporting file creation, renaming, duplication, deletion, and image upload.
  • Tutorial Library: A curated collection of 50 structured video tutorials covering Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced web development topics via embedded YouTube videos.
  • Theme System: Four visual themes (Aquatic, Dark, Light, Neon) persisted to localStorage.
  • User Authentication: A client-side account system that stores credentials in localStorage — no data is transmitted to external servers.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the entire Platform at any time, with or without prior notice, and without liability to you.

Intellectual Property Rights

Platform Content: All content on Veltrix IDE that is not user-generated — including but not limited to the source code, design system, CSS styles, JavaScript logic, written tutorials, page layouts, icons, logos, and branding — is the exclusive intellectual property of Mohammad Khan and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Platform solely for personal, non-commercial educational purposes. This licence does not permit you to:

  • Copy, reproduce, distribute, or republish the Platform's source code or design in any form.
  • Sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit any part of the Platform.
  • Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform.
  • Create derivative works based on the Platform without express written permission.

Your Code: Code you write in the Lab IDE belongs to you. Veltrix IDE makes no claim to ownership of any projects you create. Since all data is stored locally in your browser's localStorage, we do not have access to, store, or process your code on our servers.

Third-Party Content: Tutorial videos are embedded from YouTube and remain the property of their respective creators. We do not claim ownership of any third-party content linked to or displayed on the Platform.

User Obligations

By using Veltrix IDE, you agree to use the Platform responsibly and lawfully. You must not use the Platform to:

  • Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
  • Write, store, or distribute malicious code, malware, viruses, or any software designed to disrupt or harm systems.
  • Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with the Platform's security features or authentication mechanisms.
  • Engage in any activity that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionate load on the Platform's infrastructure.
  • Scrape, harvest, or otherwise extract data from the Platform using automated tools.
  • Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person or entity when registering an account.
  • Use the Platform for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent.
  • Post, transmit, or distribute content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, threatening, or infringes the rights of any third party.

We reserve the right to investigate any suspected violation of these obligations and to take appropriate action, including suspending or terminating your access to the Platform.

Account & Data Storage

Veltrix IDE uses a client-side only authentication model. When you register an account, your username, display name, email address, and hashed password are stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. No data is transmitted to, stored on, or processed by any external server operated by us.

Important: Because all data is stored locally, clearing your browser cache, using a different browser, or switching devices will result in permanent loss of your account and project data. We strongly recommend exporting or backing up your code regularly.

You are solely responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • All activity that occurs under your account.
  • Backing up your project files to prevent data loss.
  • Ensuring your account details are accurate and up to date.

You may delete your account data at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage for this site.

Third-Party Content & Links

The Platform embeds video content from YouTube (owned by Google LLC). By watching embedded tutorials, you are subject to YouTube's Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy.

The Platform may also contain links to external websites or resources. These links are provided for your convenience only. We have no control over the content of those sites or resources, and accept no responsibility for them or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Veltrix IDE, its operator, and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, suppliers, and successors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:

  • Your violation of these Terms and Conditions.
  • Your use of the Platform, including content you create, store, or transmit via the Platform.
  • Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights.
  • Any misrepresentation made by you in connection with the Platform.

Privacy & Cookies

Your use of Veltrix IDE is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle any data associated with your use of the Platform.

Cookies: Veltrix IDE does not use first-party tracking cookies. However, third-party services embedded in the Platform (including YouTube and Google AdSense) may set cookies on your device. These cookies are governed by the respective third parties' privacy policies.

localStorage: We use your browser's localStorage API to persist your theme preference, account data, and project files. This data never leaves your device.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.

If the changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users (for example, by displaying a prominent notice on the homepage). However, it is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically to stay informed of any updates.

Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Platform ceases immediately.
  • Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall remain in effect, including sections on Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law.

You may stop using the Platform at any time. To remove your local account data, clear the localStorage for this site in your browser settings.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, United Kingdom.

Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are accessing the Platform from a different jurisdiction, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with applicable local laws.
